Coward of The County Kenny Rogers   Ev'ryone considered him the coward of the county. He'd never stood one single time to prove the county wrong. His mama named him Tommy, the folks just called him yellow, but something always told me they were reading Tommy wrong 모든 사람들이 그를 보고 마을의 겁장이라 여겼지요. 그는 그들이 잘못 알고 있음을 증명하기 위해 단 한 번도 나서지 않았어요. 그의 이름은 토미였지만 사람들은 겁장이라고 불렀어요. 하지만 난 사람들이 토미를 잘못 알고 있다는 걸 알고 있었지요. "아들아, 내 인생은 끝났지만 넌 이제 시작이란다. 내게 약속해 주려무나 아들아. 내가 저질렀던 잘못을 똑같이 반복하지 않겠다고... 문제가 생기면 어떻게든 피하거라 .다른 뺨을 내민다고 네가 약하다는 의미는 아니니까 말이다. 난 네가 충분히 이해할 수 있으리라 생각한다. 아들아, 남자라고 싸움질 할 필요는 없단다." There was three of them! Tommy opened up the door and saw his Becky cryin'. The torn dress, the shattered look was more than he could stand. He reached above the fireplace and took down his daddy's picture.
